Special Introductory Price!  The price will only go up in the future.  As usual, we introduced a new product to the market at or below our cost to get the buzz out there and prove it’s a great product.  You will not find a better product for the money!Another custom product from ZZPerformance.  This shorter Valve Cover Breather simply replaces your oil cap on your valve cover. It’s designed to let air into the crank-case on supercharged engines or to vent crank gases on engines with aftermarket power adders.We wanted to design a valve cover breather that was simple to install and match the fitment like a factory oil cap.  This is a one piece design.  Other companies make adaptors to couple with an aftermarket breather.  The design was based off the factory oil cap and includes the sealing O ring.We have been selling these for many years for the vehicles we specialize in and then many LS car guys started buying them from us. Since then, we have been informed that they have seen gains in power and lower oil temps after installation.The actual filter part of the breather is 1.5″ in height as we have had a person return one because he had a aftermarket strut tower bar in the way.  So if your oil cap is located really high with something in front of it please take a tape measure to verify if you have the clearance for this. Applications examples:All LS1 Engines and pretty much all GM vehicles with the twist and lock style oil cap.  Does not fit the newer GM vehicles that has the dual notch oil cap.  Simply look at your valve cover.  If you see a single notch this will work.  If you see dual notch it will not work.  Don’t worry if your vehicle is not listed on the compatibility chart.  There are thousands of applications it works for.  These basically work on any GM vehicles with the single notch twist and lock style factory oil cap. Based on the large number of compatible vehicles, it would take us hours and hours to look up and list every single one.  It is still your responsibility to go off of the dimensions provided on the breather to see if you have the clearance for it.  If your oil cap is real close to your hood it probably won’t fit.  This is our newest version that we custom made shorter due to some LS engines having clearance issues.  Our old design was over an inch taller than this one.
Installation is as simple as unscrewing your factory oil cap and screwing on the breather in it’s place.  However I have had some customers when removing it after some time they end up twisting the mesh material or totally disconnecting the steel material from the plastic by grabbing it from the top and unscrewing it.  Just like an oil cap it fits very tight and sealed onto the valve cover so to prevent this from happening you want to grab and unscrew the breather from the lower portion of the breather.  Just like the factory oil cap it takes some some strength to unscrew it so you want to put the pressure on bottom portion of the breather to unscrew it.  in the event that you did pop the steel mesh material off you can use 2 part epoxy from any parts store to reattach it.
