Walter Laurette Welterweight Boxing 1917 Original Vintage Photo Letter Contract
2-sided 1917 original vintage welterweight Walter Laurette letter and contract. The front of the letter features a nice letterhead of Laurette – “New York’s Premier Welterweight” at the top with his 1916 and 1917 to date record on the left. There is a typed note to Eddie Gillese from Laurette’s manager Chas Doessereck mentioning the signed contract for a fight between Laurette and boxer Marty Cross. The letter is signed in pencil “Chas Doessereck”.
On the back of the letter is a great photo of Walter Laurette.
The contract, on thin paper, states the terms of the match and is signed “Edward Gillese”, secretary of the (JIMMY) DeForest Athletic Corporation and by Dossereck as well.
The letter and contract are in nice condition, with the original folds as was originally mailed, vintage 3-hole pinches on the edge, and toning as shown, 8
